The Spaniard won the race with a record time record of 46 minutes 17.962 seconds. And Rossi had to settle for being in second place with a difference up to eight seconds. Followed by Honda rider Andrea Dovisioso, who won the struggle for a third position with Marco Simoncelli and Nicky Hayden.
Lorenzo's victory at Estoril yesterday was the eighth victory this season, and is the third consecutive victory in Estoril circuit.
The road race

Until lap eighth consecutive pole position is Rossi, Lorenzo, Hayden, Marco Simoncelli, Dovizioso, Dani Pedrosa, Randy de Puniet and Colin Edwards.
Carlos Checa who replaced Mika Kallio in the Pramac Ducati, on lap 14 also had to leave the race because the bike having problems.
While in the vanguard, Lorenz began docked with Rossi and provide greater pressure. Finally on lap 16, the new world champion berhsil beat "The Doctor".
