One possible cause is not the legalization of goals England midfielder, Frank Lampard, the German goalkeeper, at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. In fact, from the replay, looks the ball had crossed the goal line before bouncing out.

The technology is recommended by many Hawk Eye, which has been applied in cricket and tennis. Hawk Eye system used is a camera or a sensor in the ball.

Responding, the Managing Director of Hawk Eye, Paul Hawkins, said, "FIFA plan is to choose one company to take responsibility for independent test all systems and is promising that it will happen."

"This is something that we recommend because you have to be sure of the appropriate scientific criteria," he added.
