Ducati Grateful To Yamaha

Ducati to thank the Yamaha team, because it has given permission for Valentino Rossi. "The Doctor" finally allowed Yamaha to ride a Ducati in pre-season test

after the GP of Valencia, 7 November.

"We are looking forward to this solution by considering the good relationship that we've intertwine with Yamaha for a few months, and especially by Lin Jarvis, who in this case I want to thank you," said Ducati MotoGP Project Manager Alessandro Cicognani told Gazzetta dello Sport .

"Now we do not have unlimited time tests as before, so it seems more fair for everybody to start in the same condition for a new rider."

As we know that Rossi will soon leave Yamaha after receiving a bid to defend the Ducati for next season. During the seven years of Rossi's Yamaha team defense, he's finally really going to leave team. However, even though it turned out to Yamaha has given special dispensation for Rossi to test with new teams. Although, on the day when he did the test, the 31-year-old rider from Italy is still under contract.

Vittoriano Guareschi Ducati team manager, said the Italian squad is already preparing everything if Rossi was allowed to do the test, even before any official announcement.

"We have started work to prepare because we feel the test will continue. Therefore, we have to prepare all materials for Valencia," said Guareschi.

"Motorcycles for the 2011 season will not be much different this year. I have never tried, but Franco Battaini've done it at Mugello last week and everything went well. How much has changed? To be sure, there is significant progress. Our philosophy is always the same, that is related to speed, just like Honda. "

"Both Rossi and Hayden, as we already did last year on the GP10, will have the opportunity to choose the machine that they like. We have prepared a machine with different versions."
