STOCKHOLM, - in the world of tennis, especially for the men's singles tennis player, may be currently being debated who the best players in between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Indeed the two players are the players who dominated the men's singles tennis world today. And certainly everyone has a different assessment.
Currently it is ranked top-ranked Nadal world, while federer ranked third, under Novak Djokovic, Serbia. And it was Federer's achievements in 2010 was not brilliant enough, the Swiss tennis player because it brought two trophies.
But according to legendary Swedish player Jonas Bjorkman think Federer
is the best player in the world. By winning nine grand slam titles to the double number, Federer has a different class than Nadal.
"There are differences in class and Federer is still too high, still better than Nadal right now," said former world number four told Reuters.
Indeed, Bjorkman Nadal admitted that this year appears very bright so they can reap seven titles, including the three most prestigious trophy, the French Open, Wimbledon and U.S. Open. But according to Bjorkman, Nadal, who already packed nine grand slam titles, can only be equated if they can match the achievements of Federer who made history 16 times grand slam champion.
Besides, Federer also made a record that may be very difficult to be solved by anyone. Because the 29-year-old also recorded 23 consecutive grand slam semi-final entry.
"Nadal had Federer could match his achievement first, only then can the discussion," said Bjorkman, who is now the director of marketing for the Stockholm Open.
"Becoming a question about the injury and motivation and how long he (Nadal) can continue to survive. But the big difference is that Federer is a great ambassador. He has a lot of work to market a tennis great.
"Nadal must continue to be in good health for a long time so that Federer can break all records."
